  • A Founder herself, leading DINR and Somm - one of Canada’s most prominent tech companies, and part of the 2023 Fellowship program with the C100, Jenn truly understands the grit and resilience required to be a successful Founder. Founding Somm in 2020, and acquiring the original DINR platform in 2022, Jenn’s ability to pivot and identify strategic partnerships and opportunities that catalyzed the growth and development of the company.

    Jenn’s background is in capital markets, private equity, and early-stage tech, having worked for Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, TD Securities, Scotia Capital, before jumping into the tech sector in 2016 when TD backed her first organization (FinForum, which amalgamated with PureInvest).

    Now based in Vancouver, Jenn’s passion is for cultivating meaningful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

    She has originated major go-to-market relationships with some of the world’s largest financial institutions, funds and brands including American Express, OpenTable, Lightspeed, and more.

    In 2017, Jenn was the only Canadian nominated for the US-based Market’s Media Women in Finance Award in 2017. She was also the only Canadian to win New York’s Trader Magazine and Market’s Media Rising Star Award that year, and in 2016, she was a recipient of Canada’s Women in Capital Markets Emerging Leaders award.

Paul Stasiewich, CFA

  • Paul Stasiewich, CFA is a finance and investments professional with a strong track record across institutional, family, and startup enterprises.

    Most recently a Senior Director at Brookfield Asset Management, Paul was part of a global team responsible for managing a portfolio exceeding $256B of assets. Paul’s primary focus at Brookfield was to identify and underwrite new opportunities and to ensure ongoing investments were reaching return targets.

    While serving on the board for Mats Unlimited, a family run business, Paul leveraged his industry connections to secure competitive financing, pursue significant grants, and prepare the business for record growth and succession.

    Finally, Paul has been a critical contributor to the success of one of Canada’s top startups, Somm and DINR. Having been involved since ideation, Paul has firsthand experience with preparing funding materials, working with investors, managing burn, identifying strategic opportunities and developing a business plan that can accommodate the pivots that are part of every startup story.

    Paul’s unique experience with businesses across numerous stages, sizes and industries allows him to work with founders wherever they are at in their journey and to better prepare them and their business for the next stage.
